Caribbean Basin Economic Recovery Act (CBERA)

(U.S.) The CBERA affords nonreciprocal tariff preferences by the United States to developing countries in the Caribbean Basin area to aid their economic development and to diversify and expand their production and exports. The CBERA applies to merchandise entered, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, on or after January 1, 1984. This tariff preference program has no expiration date.
