packing list

(shipping) A document prepared by a shipper listing the kinds and quantities of merchandise in a particular shipment. A copy of the packing list is often attached to the shipment itself (to the exterior of a package or crate) and another copy sent directly to the consignee to assist in checking the contents of the shipment when received. Also called a bill of parcels.
