(foreign exchange) The price quotation of a currency can be made either directly or indirectly. (a) The direct quotation gives the equivalent of a certain amount of foreign currency (normally in units of 100 or 1) in domestic currency. (b) In an indirect price quotation (less common) the domestic currency is valued in units of foreign currency.
