(logistics) (a) A measure of the number of units or tonnage of shipping containers that pass through a container facility or port in a given period of time. The measure is a function of units received, units shipped and units that remain in the facility. (b) A measure of the number of units of materials or products that pass through a warehouse in a given period of time. The measure is a function of units received, units shipped and units that remain in the facility.
(computers) A measure of the processing power of a computer system based on transactions, batches or other criteria.
