How do I Integrate FlavorCloud with WooCommerce?

Please follow the following steps to install FlavorCloud in your WooCommerce store to enable international shipping.

The application for integrating WooCommerce with FlavorCloud is not built, maintained, or supported by FlavorCloud. The integration tool is a paid app built by a third party.

Get the FlavorCloud Shipping for WooCommerce Application

The integration app can be found and purchased here: FlavorCloud Shipping for WooCommerce.

Instructions for installing and setting up the tool can be found on the download page.

Create a FlavorCloud Account

If you already have a FlavorCloud account, you can log in here.

To use the FlavorCloud application, you must create a FlavorCloud account. The setup wizard will take you through the steps to create your FlavorCloud Account.

Branded Tracking Settings

  • Review the Branded Tracking page templates your customers will see, and make any desired changes in the pop-up window. There are two templates to choose from; a two-column design and a three-column design.
  • You can update the colors and fonts but it is not required.
  • At the top of the screen you can change the logo by clicking on the existing FlavorCloud logo, and uploading your own.
    • Maximum logo dimensions are 500 x 241 pixels
    • While it is possible to add images that are larger, it will break the layout, especially on mobile devices.
  • Next you will see the “Ad Section Image”
    • 3-column maximum ad image dimensions are 367×654 pixels
    • 2-column maximum ad image dimensions are 702×540 pixels
    • While it is possible to add images that are larger, it will break the layout, especially on mobile devices.

Note: FlavorCloud recommends 3-column lay-out because it renders better on mobile devices.

Note: You must change BOTH the logo and the hero image at the same time.

Create an API key for the WooCommerce Plugin

In FlavorCloud, navigate to Admin > API.

Click on the “New Application” button.

In the “Create New Application” window, enter the following information:

  • New API: Create a descriptive name for the new application API key.
  • Email: Enter your email address.
  • URL: Enter the URL (web address) for your WooCommerce store.
  • Description: Optionally, enter an additional description here.

The new API information will appear at the top of your list of API keys.

Define your shipping settings in WooCommerce

You will want to review and update the shipping settings of your WooCommerce store.

Your settings can be found under WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > Flavor Cloud Settings.

This process will include:

  • Updating your FlavorCloud API credentials
  • Enabling tax & duties
  • Reviewing and updating product information
  • Setting up shipping zones

Instructions for doing this with the app can be found here: FlavorCloud Shipping for WooCommerce.

Finally, make sure that all products you are selling through your store include:

  • the weight,
  • the HS code and
  • the country of origin/manufacture.

This information is required to calculate international shipping rates and duties/taxes. Note: If a product missing any of these three key pieces of information is added to an international cart, taxes and duties will not be calculated for the entire cart.
