DHL Express Canada has reached a tentative agreement
There is currently no DHL Express service in or out of Canda. The union representing DHL Express Canada, Unifor, voted to strike on June 8th causing DHL Express Canada issued a locked out and began a work stoppage. As of today, June 26th, they have met a tentative agreement with operations to potentially resume next week. Read more here
Carrier suspension due to war between Israel and Iran
Due to the war between Israel and Iran, multiple countries in the Middle East have closed their air space which prevents carriers ability to import or export into effected countries. Effected countries are Israel, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and UAE. This will have ripple effects with carriers who use these countries as hubs like Air India. Read more here
Canada Post work stoppage
Canada Post and Canadian Union of Postal Workers( CUWP) continue negotiations. There is a growing impact as reports are mail is being delayed. Negotiations are escalating between the two parties. Expect delays to potentially get worse. Read more here

Tariff Update

- May 28: The Court of International Trade (CIT) ruled that applying tariffs under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) was illegal and ordered the government to stop enforcing them. However, the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit issued a temporary stay allowing the tariffs to remain in place.
- June 4: US Section 232 Tariffs on steel, aluminum, autos, automobile parts increase to 50%
- June 16: The US finalizes the terms of the US and UK Economic Prosperity Deal.
