Bulk HS Classification in the FlavorCloud Product Grid

Merchants can now easily and accurately classify products with the right HS Codes every time, ensuring smooth and compliant cross-border trade. With the new tools in the Products section of the FlavorCloud app, you can classify your products individually or in bulk.

The FlavorCloud classification engine, powered by advanced deep learning algorithms, effortlessly identifies and assigns HS codes to products using text descriptions and images.

For Non-Shopify Merchants:

  1. Download CSV Template: Download the CSV template from the FlavorCloud app.
  2. Edit CSV: Update this template with your product information.
  3. Upload to FlavorCloud App: Once your CSV is ready, upload it to the FlavorCloud app.
  4. Make Edits in the App: You can perform bulk classification here and make other changes as needed.

You can edit product lines individually.

You can select multiple products and classify them.

You can also classify all products (up to 500)

  1. Save Changes: After you have made updates, you will need to refresh the page. After you refresh, you can discard or approve the changes.

  1. Update Product Information in Your Store: After saving changes in the FlavorCloud app, manually update product information in your store to ensure consistency.

For Shopify Merchants:

  1. Auto-import Products: FlavorCloud seamlessly auto-imports products from your Shopify store.
  2. Make Edits in the App: You can perform bulk classification here and make other changes as needed.

    You can edit product lines individually.

    You can select multiple products and classify them.

    You can also classify all products (up to 500)

  3. Save Changes: After you have made updates, you will need to refresh the page. After you refresh, you can discard or approve the changes.
  4. Updates Synchronize with Shopify: All changes saved in the FlavorCloud app will automatically sync with your Shopify store, keeping your product data consistent and up to date across both platforms.

Note: Shopify merchants can also use the non-Shopify CSV process if preferred. However, please note that doing so could cause errors in synchronizing data between the Product Page and Shopify.

Filling out the products template CSV

After downloading the CSV, complete the row by adding the following information. Required fields are marked with *.

Title*: The title of the product in your store
Product Description*: The full product description
Country of Origin: Where the product was made/manufactured should be entered as a two-letter iso country code.
SKU*: The product SKU
Image Source: A URL pointing to an image of the product
HS Code: The HS code for the product
Price: The price of the product

Support & Troubleshooting

A failure notification will alert you promptly if you encounter issues like failed uploads, sync errors, or malformed uploads. For instance, if we can only upload 4 out of a larger batch, we’ll notify you that four were successfully uploaded and the rest failed.
